Ramble No. 19 Froggatt Edge, Derbyshire

Along White Edge.  Left down track to Grouse Inn for a drink. Back through woods to Frogatt edge, Curbar Edge and back to Curbar Gap.

 To Darnholme crssroads towards Beck Hole. Turned right down path to Water Ark , followed hedge round Hill Farm to Hollin Garth, Green End and  Craig Cliff wood to Grosmont Church and Grosmont Station. Caught North York Moors Train back to Goathland.

Place: Round Goathland
Distance: 7-8 miles

Weather: Sunny in between whiles.

From Goath land shops to church. Then up past the tarn to Two Howes  and Simon Howe, turning lerft down the Lyke Wake walk accross the North York Moors Railway to the Eller Beck Bridge. Turned left on the Goathland raod then right on the track to Birchwood and Crow Wood. Crossed top of Cow Wath bank to Crown Cottages, down the path to Goathland station and back to the car park.

Ramble No. 16 Thames Barrier and Greenwich

Date: Fri 16 Mar 2012
Place: The Thames Barrier and Greenwich.
Distance: 3-4 miles
Time:   All day!
Weather: Grey, Chilly.

Start: Charlton Station

Met J at Waterloo. Train to Charlton. Walk to river. Thames path East to it's start at the Thames Barrier. Coffee in cafe. Visited exhibition. Retraced steps back along Thames path and continued to Greenwich, cutting the corner past the O2 dome, as the riverside route was blocked. The Cutty Sark was still closed for renovation. Lunch in the Old Brewery. Visited the Old Royal Naval College Chapel and Painted Hall, and Maritime Museum. Caught the River bus from Greenwich Pier back to Embankmemnt for Watereloo) via Tower Bridge and all stops along the river.
